All of you expressing sympathy in the cs and qts, is like them never theif your phone before LOL. I can’t even blame y'all, cus I used to feel the same way whenever I saw thieves being treated like this, but that changed the day my phone was stolen.

I posted the conversation here. I was literally begging the thief to return my own phone. I even offered ₦100k , but he demanded ₦150k instead and gave me two hours to pay or I’d never hear from him again. Then he blocked me.

At no point did he care about how I would contact my family and friends, how I’d get home with all my banking apps locked inside that phone (and I don't have an atm card) or the income I’d lose because I work with phone.

A thief doesn’t stop to consider the damage they’re causing. That’s why it’s difficult for me to romanticize or sympathize with them now.
