I had The Iron Claw on my watchlist for a while, and I finally got around to watching it.

Beyond the actors’ impressive physical transformations, I was really struck by the presence each character brings to the ring and by how strong the performances are both inside and outside of it.

Zac Efron delivers a memorable performance, capturing Kevin’s anguish while showing how much frustration and pain he keeps buried beneath the surface, especially when it comes to his brothers and his father. Harris Dickinson and Jeremy Allen White were fantastic as well, each bringing something different to the family dynamic.

What I found especially sad was watching them put their own dreams aside because they felt obligated to carry on their family legacy and fulfill their father’s dream rather than their own. Unfortunately, following that path didn’t lead to the happiest of outcomes. I won’t spoil anything, just watch the movie. Knowing that makes the whole story even more heartbreaking.

The atmosphere of the film completely pulled me in and made me enjoy every scene. It’s definitely one that stayed with me after it ended.
