@MikeKATU I heard that a Lifeflight helo broke down on the Emanuel helo pad. They had to remove the blades, get a big crane and long semi flatbed to remove it.

@flightradar24 inbound flights to PDX have all been put into a holding pattern at some point during their flight. I heard on PDX fire dispatch that only 1 runway is in use right now. Emergency aircraft at 10:42 UTC doesn’t seem to be a factor, landed & exited runway.

@sciencegirl My first thought was, a woman in a wheelchair fell down an escalator at PDX & died. Then I was curious, why is this adult woman & caretaker trying to use an escalator with a child in a wheelchair instead of using the elevator?

@AnywayPoem The pilot felt it was a tight LZ for 2 helo’s & didn’t feel comfortable landing. Fog was also moving in potentially grounding the helo if they landed before the pt was extracted, pilot had better eyes on the fog while circling. Eventually they able to land safely.
