In this episode, I continue the tradition of collecting folks to reflect on the day's events of the ADHD Conference. Today's crew - @mensADHDsupport, @ingershaye, @adhdnerddad, Teresa Taylor, @AdhDruids, and Dr. Carolyn Lentzsch-Parcells! We had pizza.

Starting soon screens are useful to do last minute checks for your stream. Especially if you have a checklist of stuff to do before going live.
If you leave a stream because someone is using a tool, then that's your loss, not the streamers.
If I join a stream & there’s a starting soon screen…..
I’m going to leave & there’s a small chance I’ll come back
It’s not anything personal, just I’m not going to sit there & wait for them to start.
Just something to consider ❤️
So, to anyone who doesn't know, Hi-Rez Studios, the people behind Paladins and Smite, have stated that they will be using AI to clone voices and refused to add in any words to contracts that would protect actors from it. More info in the thread. Please share to other VAs. (1/?)
Consuming more than you are creating leaves you vulnerable to trying to fill your time with nothingness and it leaves you feeling drained and uninspired.
Recovery and Rest are not the same thing.
Recovery is something you are actively doing. You are healing. It is productive. When you break a bone, it takes time to recover and mend. Mental recovery is needed.
It doesn't mean rest isn't important. You can recover and then rest.
Where it gets frustrating is that it can manifest by affecting my behavior, and I am unable to authentically celebrate that persons success as much as I would like to. Logically I know they deserve the celebration, but at times it makes me feel resentful for no reason.
Doing some introspection about my own insecurities and I'm pinpointing the most frustrating one I still have. Anytime I see people (especially friends) have success in an area I want to be successful in, I take it as a personal failing and forget all of my current success.
