I almost fought a POS girl for rejecting my card without knowing she was trying to save my life.

That was almost the worst mistake of my life 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭.

She didn’t even look at me. She just squeezed my hand slightly, then said loudly, Network is bad, please use the next shop.

But her eyes? They were locked on the man standing right behind me.

Her eyes terrified.

I got irritated. Snatched my ATM card and walked away, deeply annoyed.

Ten minutes later, I heard shouting from that exact same spot.

The man who was behind me had just cleared the next customer's entire account.

He had secretly swapped her terminal with a cloned one while she was distracted.

She only realized the machine felt different when I handed her my card, and she chose to save my money instead of confronting him.

We are always in such a rush, blindly slotting our cards into any machine handed to us on the street.

Here are 6 killer websites you'd wish you knew sooner as a data analyst.

1. Mockaroo (https://t.co/TdxmcHb2AY) → generates realistic test data in seconds. I used to spend hours creating fake datasets to practice with. This thing spits out thousands of rows based on whatever parameters you need.

2. SQL Fiddle (https://t.co/LZl4h67Rg4) → test your queries before running them on actual data. Saved me from crashing our database more times than I care to admit.

3. Regex101 (https://t.co/HPzsZ72v0t) → makes regular expressions actually make sense. That alone is worth it. I used to copy paste regex patterns and pray they worked.

4. Our World in Data (https://t.co/6Nj06DvgV8) → clean, reliable datasets on basically everything. When your boss asks for "industry benchmarks," this is where you go.

5. Datawrapper (https://t.co/HdesKEYpBo) → creates charts that don't look like they're from 2003. Your stakeholders will think you hired a designer.

6. Mode Analytics (https://t.co/1Cz35BbdHp) → runs SQL, Python, and R in the same place. No more switching between five different tools to finish one analysis.

The thing about data analytics is that nobody cares how hard you worked. They care if the insight is clear and if you delivered it on time.

These tools don't make you a better analyst, they just stop you from wasting time on things that shouldn't take time in the first place.

I wish someone had sent me this list three years ago. Would've saved me a lot of late nights.

LOSS OF A CORPS MEMBER IN OGUN STATE AND THE SUSPECTED INVOLVEMENT OF AN NYSC STAFF

The management of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) is deeply saddened by the loss of a Corps Member in Abeokuta, Ogun State, under circumstances that are currently being investigated. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of the deceased and pray for the peaceful repose of her soul.

The Scheme is aware of the news circulating in the media concerning the suspected involvement of a staff member. We wish to confirm that the matter is currently under investigation by relevant security agencies, and the individual concerned has been taken into custody.

We wish to use this medium to reiterate that the NYSC maintains a strict code of conduct for its staff and Corps Members and will not condone any act of misconduct or abuse of office. We assure the public that we are cooperating fully with the law enforcement authorities to ensure that the truth is established and that justice is served.

While investigations are ongoing, we urge the public to refrain from speculations and allow due process to take its course.
