This morning, leaders in Wenatchee told me masks are helping, but the prevalence of COVID-19 is still far too high.
The Latino community has been hit hard, including essential farm workers who are keeping the state fed. They deserve strong health protections at work.

We need an Epidemic Defense Force. The sophistication, budgets, training, etc., that has historically gone towards traditional militarization needs to be applied towards keeping humanity safe from viruses and other pathogens. Humans will always have this need, never goes away.
