If you're building something right now, say hi.
Let's connect, share what we're working on, and grow together. π€
You can't make anything perfect from day 1.
This screenshot is basically proof of that. π
Presence has gone through 1.0 β 1.6.2 with countless changes, fixes, redesigns, and improvements.
Looking back at the first version makes me realize how much the product has changed.
Don't wait for perfect.
Ship the first version, learn from real users, and keep making it better.
A weird part of building your own product:
Sometimes you spend an entire day fixing something nobody will ever notice.
No new feature.
No impressive screenshot.
No launch post.
But the app feels a little better because of it.
I think a lot of good products are built through work that nobody ever sees.
Building apps has made me realize how addictive numbers can be.
You see impressions going up β you feel good.
Downloads go up β even better.
Then one day they drop and suddenly you start questioning everything. π
I'm trying to remind myself that a single day's numbers don't mean much.
Keep testing.
Keep improving.
Look at the trend, not the noise.
Set goals you can actually achieve.
If the target feels impossible from the beginning, you lose motivation before you even get close.
I'd rather set a realistic target, hit it, then raise the bar.
Small wins give you the motivation to chase bigger ones.
Interesting result after changing the UI of my Presence listing.
Reach is going up 2.05K impressions (+906%).
But visitors aren't moving the way I expected.
So now I'm thinking the problem might be the listing itself.
Time to change the screenshots again, test a different presentation, and see if I can turn that reach into actual visits.
This is becoming a lot of trial and error, but I'm finally starting to understand how App Store distribution works. π
