Two of my favourite sportsmen will walk out to represent their countries for one last time on July 19. The most naturally gifted of their generation. Both 39 years of age. Entertainers. Countless magical moments on the field, where they looked superhuman. Long careers with so many ups and downs. But the comparison stops there. One accumulated every laurel that his sport could offer him, and will go out in style, while the other will never get what his heart desired the most, despite giving it his all.
There are moments in sport that stay with you forever.
Every sacrifice, every setback, every practice session, every cheer from the stands- it all led to that unforgettable night.
Proud to have shared it with an incredible group of people and to have experienced it with millions of Indians around the world.
Thank you for making us feel your love before, during and long after that final. June 29, 2024. Celebrating you forever ♾️
Wankhede has fallen. in my lifetime, we never looked this toothless at home. every game i feel we can't go lower than this but i'm proven wrong everytime.
So instead of politely asking him to lower the volume, I decided to body-shame him publicly because I’m a cultured human being. I also took and posted his picture without his consent, because, as I said, I’m a cultured human being.
