@MrCasey62 I think the real question we should ask our Protestant brethren is why they think the Word of God should be translated by just anyone, and not strictly protected by the Church from heretics and liars like Wycliffe and Jan Hus.
When you’re a Prot & have no clue what the word “central” means:
• the central act of worship in Catholicism is the Mass
• the central focus of the Mass is God
• in the Mass God is mentioned over 100x*. The priest mentions Mary 3x
• even the Rosary’s about the life of Christ
@MrCasey62 Maybe this is someone who conflates it all with the disagreements between Thomists and Molinists? I’ve noticed most Protestants don’t understand that Mother Church provides fences and lets us explore within their safety from heresy.
Today I spoke with President Macron of France on a number of global and bilateral matters — ranging from developments in Ukraine to our work to secure a ceasefire deal in Lebanon that will allow residents to return home.
Trump nominating Lori Chavez-DeRemer for Secretary of Labor is absolutely insane.
❌ Teacher's unions love her
❌ Free market advocates hate her
❌ Elon Musk opposes her
❌ Independent workers hate her
❌ She wil FORCE people to join unions
Trump sold us out to repay union chief.
Ultracrepidarianism is a serious problem among our public intellectuals, not because they’re incapable of broadening their knowledge but because they’re too arrogant to think they need to.
We live among an insufferably shallow but loud coterie of narrowly competent experts.
Leftwingers consider anyone to the right of Stalin as wicked clods; people writ broadly are wonderful and good; and bureaucrats (except conservatives) are even better than average.
Joe Biden has made the same mistakes that caused the loss of the Vietnam conflict; Ukraine should have been expressed the weapons needed to fight the Russians as soon as it was apparent Kyiv wasn’t going to be conquered.
