Donations from the public not only support the animals at the shelter, but they also help families with pets in need. Last night, our ASOs received a call that several families with pets were displaced after their apartment complex caught on fire.

This patriotic pair were adopted through our partners @AdoptAPetSJ in California, which waives adoption fees for veterans and Gold Star spouses we serve.

#SJFD firefighters responded to reports of individuals trapped on an island in the Guadalupe River near Coleman Av and Autumn Pkwy. Boats utilized to rescue 2 adults, 2 dogs, and 4 puppies. One person evaluated and warmed but refused transport. ACS assisting w/ dogs.
