I started voting when I was 18 years old, and I have voted ever since.
Voting is more than a tradition — it is a right.
If you want change in your city, vote.
If you want leaders who share your values, vote.
If you want your voice heard, vote.

Today we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Memorial Day is more than a long weekend — it is a reminder of sacrifice, duty, and the freedoms we are entrusted to protect.

Kendrick Lamar reunited with his 7th grade Science teacher after she was told by her daughter to 'just show up, he will recognize you.'
Kendrick shared a hug and told her, "I'll never forget you."
This momentum isn’t about a campaign. It’s about people being tired of confusion and delays. It shouldn’t be this hard, we hear that a lot. And they’re right. #BrazoriaCountyClerk
We had a major moment this weekend with Quentin Wiltz becoming the Mayor-Elect in Pearland. People are paying attention, not just because of politics…but because they are ready for something different. And we’re just getting started. #BrazoriaCounty
NEW: Democrat Quentin Wiltz has won the mayoral race in Pearland, Texas, a Republican-leaning suburb of Houston that has consistently voted for Trump since 2016.
This is a flip from 🔴 to 🔵.

On this day, I honor the courage of the young people of Birmingham who chose peaceful protest in the face of violence and hatred. Their witness helped expose the cruelty of segregation and stirred the conscience of a nation. The Birmingham Children’s Crusade began on May 2, 1963, and when the demonstrations continued the next day, Bull Connor ordered police and firefighters to attack young demonstrators with dogs and high pressure fire hoses.
May we never forget that young people have always helped lead the struggle for justice, and that nonviolent direct action remains a powerful force for change.

Did you notice this? Early voting hours can end before working people even get off work. If you commute… pick up kids… or work outside the county you live in…
You’re being asked to choose between your job and your vote.
That’s not how this should work. #BellforBrazoria
We are witnessing a dangerous escalation of rhetoric and action that places entire populations at risk.
When the President of our nation speaks of the possibility that “a whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again,” we must recognize the gravity of where that path leads. This isn't strategy. It is genocidal language.
Mothers. Fathers. Children. Families.
The destruction of precious human life in an effort to control the natural resources of any nation is inexcusable. Our humanity, no matter what nation we live in, is non-negotiable.
We cannot allow rhetoric to distance us from the reality of what is at stake. Every life matters. Every community matters.
We must elect a competent and morally conscious Congress that truly values the sacredness of human life and will take action to hold our executive branch accountable. We must demand accountability from leadership that shows disregard for that responsibility.
Kingian Nonviolence calls us to do more than respond. We must take seriously the study and practice of nonviolence, and we must develop leaders who operate from a love-centered place.
Our humanity is not negotiable.
