What concerns me, is that when the so-called shooter jumps from the roof, folks are still casually walking the footpaths. Crowds were screaming & running in all directions, as soon as the shot/explosion was heard. With zero panic visible in this video, one might assume that this was filmed at a different time to the actual murder.

A Diplomat From One of the World's Most Corrupt Nations Is Lecturing Me on Democracy Because of This Speech! 🤦‍♂️

At the end of May, I made the decision not to accept my overwhelmingly-elected seat on the newly formed Port Hedland Council. I cannot in good conscience, accept the outcome of an election that the vast majority of my town knows was wrought with fraud and ballot theft.

Along with two mayoral candidates, I am challenging the Local Government election result in the Court of Disputed Returns. We believe that hundreds of ballot papers were stolen from letterboxes across Port Hedland and fraudulently submitted to the WA Electoral Commission. WA Police have launched a criminal investigation, whilst most folks in Port Hedland have now seen the numerous CCTV videos of a particular candidate stealing ballots from private letterboxes.

The Court of Disputed Returns sat on Friday and adjourned the matter until October.

To add insult to injury, the Ambassador of one of the world's most corrupt nations, Vasyl Myroshnychenko from Ukraine, has begun quietly feeding messages to my local Newspaper, the North West Telegraph, labelling me a "useful idiot to Russia," and urging Australian authorities to investigate me. All the while lecturing me on "democracy".

The Telegraph only published a snippet of the Ambassador's deranged comments; so I decided to respond publicly, here.

If the Ukrainian Ambassador to Australia is genuinely concerned about democratic processes, perhaps he should start at home; and call upon his own government to hold an election and put itself before the Ukrainian people. Neither I, nor the people of Port Hedland need advice on democracy from a country that hasn't held an election in seven years, has banned opposition parties, cancelled its own elections in 2024, and whose government refuses to face its own people.

I do wonder why a foreign diplomat is privately lobbying for an Aussie citizen to be investigated by his own government - simply because he decided to challenge a clearly fraudulent local government election in North Western Australia. I understand that the Ambassador wasn't happy when I reported honestly on what I observed at the Russian Presidential election in 2024. I get it. However, unlike the Ambassador, my remarks as a 1st-hand witness of a Russian presidential election are not coloured by any pecuniary interest. I am not paid to advocate for any country. But that certainly doesn't give him licence to meddle in Australian electoral affairs.

A foreign diplomat privately urging that an Australian citizen be investigated by his own government, for questioning the integrity of a local council election, should alarm every Aussie. That is not the conduct of a democratic ally. Some might even view this as foreign interference, and it should be called out as such.

The Australian Federation of Ukrainian Organisations also piled on. Amongst other drivel, they stated on their social media: "Port Hedland is better off without me".

Ukraine has ranked 144th out of 177 countries on the Global Corruption Perceptions Index. To have an Ambassador from one of the world's most corrupt nations lecturing an Australian who is fighting to uphold the integrity of our democratic process is, frankly,
breathtaking in its audacity.

Australia has courts. We have processes. The Ambassador should note: Australians are watching. They have seen the videos of military-aged men being dragged from their homes, and from the streets, beaten and forcibly conscripted to the front lines. His comments will be seen for exactly what they are - another attempt to drag Australians into Ukraine's war. Australians do not want to fight other countries' wars. And I suspect millions of Ukrainians don't want to fight in this one either, because this may well be NATO's war, or even BlackRock's war. I doubt very much it is solely Ukraine's war.

I can only note that Ambassador Myroshnychenko has been a passionate advocate for continued bloodshed; from the safety of his Canberra posting, not from the streets of Kyiv. I note he has not returned to the front lines he is so keen for others to fight on.

In any case, I am pleased the Ambassador has found time to concern himself with the remarks of a former Port Hedland councillor. I am flattered that his commentary on me apparently represents the highest value use of his time in the diplomatic corps. In that spirit, I hope he continues to pay close attention. He may yet learn something.
