@TheGrantC You're not wrong. There's a lot to be said about socializing as you develop, it's very important. And I can pretty confidently say that growing up living so far away from my peers definitely had an adverse impact on me. This is why I personally am more comfortable not socializing

@TheGrantC I've always seen wfh as a perk, not a right, specially in corporate and it's not an excuse to slack off. Work still needs to get done. Personally, I prefer wfh over noisy open plan offices and socializing for 9 hours everyday, but then I'm not a huge people person 🤷‍♀️

@CityofCT @CityofCT the lack of warning on this "planned" work is not okay. We literally only found out when the power died this morning before 6am and so us residents couldn't do our own planning for this

@TheGrantC Maybe the content of what you're learning is objectively the same across universities, but yes, the network and the perceived prestige - the brand - that come with the name of the university is definitely taken into consideration for sure.
