Im not even CLOSE to being a Panthers fan, but I admire Barkov as a leader and his persistence to win through bad seasons in Florida, so I think he wouldn't be thrilled about Larkin (a captain ditching his team in hard times to eat the scraps of his star sandwich) on the team.
Be a man and a captain and instead of bailing when shit gets rough, you be apart of the solution not the problem. I feel the same with Tkachuck in Ottawa, you cant expect greatness from your team of you yourself have already given up on them.
Maybe Im being overly harsh but uh.. If i was a GM and I see someone just dropping a team that made you captain to go play with your olympic buddies and to short cut a cup, I wouldn't want that. That just tells me that they'll bail if things aren't going their way.
Maybe I just forgot, but I don't remember Olympic gold medallists forcing trades to keep their fantasy superteam alive back in the day.
Great on Team USA for winning & all but part of the deal when your NHL team lets you go to the Olympics is you going back to your NHL team.
@pieceofjuno Maybe its just me.. but a lot of these trade requests feel like a toddler stomping their feet like "i wanna play with my friends/brother(s)". Then go play beer league🤷
I just love how whenever haters or media try to make Nathan MacKinnon seem like this horrible, monster bully figure but his teammates always defend and talk up Nate. And Nate always misunderstood and painted in a horrible light... my shayla..😭
So many people always gotta yell at Colorado fans about why we are so weird and annoying. Ugh. Maybe its because NONE of our teams get respect from their leagues and have to deal with EVERYONE saying CO doesnt deserve sports team. So yeah. We get a bit snippy about it.
@pupbrini I think from one of the "Welcome to the NHL, Drafy day" videos, they were showing Combine clips and I do believe they said they ask the athletes if verbal encouragement like yelling is helpful for them or not and yell if they find it motivating.
With the NHL Combine in progress it is incredibly surprising to see so many people complain about it and how its useless and dumb, etc.
These are athletes and physical tests like these have always been apart of sports. Physical baselines are important for improvement.
