@robbert115 Great work there Roberto, any difference with 1% AMS? Also have your tried the addition of terrador/Voraxor? Could it be a one pass option for gly resistant ryegrass? /Rotation option?
Great turnout today at the Greenthorpe farming systems sites, an excellent 7 year project still running, well done to all involved with the massive effort from these sites including the actual grazing plots using real 4 legged animals to simulate paddock practices.
@agrobaz I feel you Baz, has to clarify again with rep yesterday on one, said don’t apply within 3 days of heavy rainfall and nothing else, I was left scratching my head but got somewhat of an answer. I’d like to have a dollar for every time I’ve read that!
Post em Prosulfocarb mixes has been a saviour on ryegrass this season- getting rain at the right time is the challenge to get reliable results. This is 7DAA done between rain events in a mix. Sakura/logran underneath IBS at sowing. To the naked eye these are looking really crook
@JarrodAmery Not sure how they stack up against each other, never used the revystar. We need rain to justify, by then we could be at 30% bloom and Prosaro will be a cheap option as probably only need 3 weeks protection but still a long way to flowering for some unfortunately.
@brodenholland Stick out so Mg sulphate through the boom, cheap as and mixes with most things done plenty off it, if your sure it’s Mg 3kg/ha be a good start even with a bit of zinc will probably help as well
@HoolyMcg Do you use streaming nozzles with those rates or just normal nozzles? If so are you mixing anything with? Looking at doing some over east and just curious of the strategy as it’s not common. Cheers
Bit of a trial going on here Disc Vs Tyne with Overwatch on canola on mixed soil types - this is the sandy end of the pdk. Pretty happy with establishment and weed control for a late break, more bleaching in the disc on the sand, not as obvious on the heavier soil.
@JarrodAmery Go to your supplier with some photos to talk to the rep and tell them it’s not good enough, I would be making a point if that was my customer!
@brodenholland Pre-em options are the biggest struggle I find with discs but you probably don’t have much option with that amount of stubble cover anyhow I guess?
