This corn should have black layered 3 days ago.
"This is what a well timed application of cobalt and potassium will do," says Jake Ewing, who sent us this photo.
This corn is currently at 1/3 to go, which should be about 7 to 10 more days.
➡️ This extra time to grow can dramatically increase yield: up to 5 bushels a day for each day delayed
➡️ Our standard black layer delay foliar costs ~$34/acre.
You do the math.
🎧 You can hear Jake Ewing talk about cobalt & black layer delay with. @Johnkempf on the #RegenerativeAgriculturePodcast (starting at 16:44): https://t.co/R38cSBktf7
@GrotyBeef@JacobLandi77114 $34 is a full program with some other micros, MacroPak, urea, etc. You can make it much cheaper. The cobalt itself goes on at a quart, so yes, less than $10/ac
This is one of the most robust trials we've ever been involved with.
Big shoutouts to everyone involved: Robert Hall Winery, O'Neill Vintners, Agrology, and the mastermind behind it all: Jordan Lonborg of Coastal Vineyard Care Associates.
Pedro Rioseco, vine whisperer and AEA Senior Agronomist, was touring Napa last week during grape harvest, talking to vineyards we work with about how the season went and starting to plan for next season.
➡️ He saw great results in both yields and quality across the board.
Pedro's advice for this time of year? "It's time to feed those microbes!"
➡️ Activating soil microbiology at the end of the season helps mineralize nutrients that the vines can pull into their trunks and use next season.

All AEA’s products are chelated with humic and amino acids; never EDTA. It’s a big reason they’re more effective than other nutrients.

Bob Tillman is so proud of his soil's transformation that he had a cross-section carefully excavated by hand and installed in the tasting room at @AltaColina Vineyard in Paso Robles.
⛏️ It shows the transformation after years of organic & regenerative practices from the parent material (basically rocks) into thick, rich, biologically active topsoil.
🍷 When we visited this week, Bob told us that the quality of this year's wine was exceptional. The acids have never been this good while retaining the flavors and brix.
Regen FTW!

7" rain with standing water everywhere in western Indiana won't stop the corn at Neese Family Farms!
Disease is creeping in with all this moisture, but so far Cole Neese has only applied fungicide on a small section of the farm and the crop is holding on (Pinion isn't yet registered in Indiana)
AEA's Jeff Kleypas had a great visit with Cole last week. In addition to Jeff's recs, Cole has been using FieldLark AI extensively. Find out how he's using #FieldLark: https://t.co/Tf5OjyL1J3
In trees and berries, bud optimization nutrients are key to growing a good crop next year.
Why? Because next year's buds are developing now! And packing them full of nutrients means they'll have what they need to produce exceptional flowers and fruit.
Especially important are Boron, Manganese, Zinc, & Copper.

Great visit with JM Fortier a few weeks ago!
AEA's Kish Johnson checked in on the Market Gardener Institute’s field trials and shot some videos on pest resistance.
💪 We partnered with JM and the Market Gardener Institute last year because we want to bring proven regenerative techniques and the benefits of precision nutrition management to market gardeners and small-scale growers around the world.
If you haven’t seen Kish and JM’s videos on pest resistance, they’re excellent. Check them out: https://t.co/m8raKbp8WQ
Awesome field day at BASS Hybrids' Discovery Farm. We had some great conversations with growers and consultants & AEA's Jeff Kleypas spoke on a panel about biological systems.
BASS is running TONS of trials at their Discovery farm.
⭐ Revenant Charge is looking like a star.
⭐ BASS applied Revenant Charge last November to study residue digestion
⭐ We are excited to see the final data!
Thanks to BASS Hybrids for hosting an awesome day!

This grower's total savings has a lot of zeros at the end . . .
Potato trial in Idaho, AEA vs control.
➡️ 350 units of N on the control
➡️ 191 units of N on AEA
The AEA treatment was just 2 foliar feeds, ~ $20-30 each.
Yields look comparable between the 2 treatments.
✅ The big difference is skin set: it's much better in the AEA Treatment (in the control, notice the skin stripping and potato that's split because it was force-fed too much N ).
✅ Skin set is a proxy for bruise resistance, which effects storability and packout %, which of course has a big impact on bottom line.
Harvest starts in a couple of weeks. This a robust trial measuring both yield and bruise metrics. We'll have some good data soon.
Field Trial Results are in on Revenant Charge™.
➡️ There hasn’t yet been a trial where Revenant Charge hasn’t made a substantive difference in plant growth.
Revenant Charge™ is a low-cost, high-impact boost that stimulates biology in the soil. Per acre costs as low as $10-20.

Briana Selstad Bosch of Blossom and Branch Farm was crushing it with regenerative practices on her 2-acre flower farm. Last year she convinced her dad to transition the family farm to regenerative. Would the same things that worked for her flowers work at scale on row crops like corn and soy?
Find out at the field day she's hosting at the Selstad Farm in Minnesota!
