Bob Tillman is so proud of his soil's transformation that he had a cross-section carefully excavated by hand and installed in the tasting room at @AltaColina Vineyard in Paso Robles.

⛏️ It shows the transformation after years of organic & regenerative practices from the parent material (basically rocks) into thick, rich, biologically active topsoil.

7" rain with standing water everywhere in western Indiana won't stop the corn at Neese Family Farms!

Disease is creeping in with all this moisture, but so far Cole Neese has only applied fungicide on a small section of the farm and the crop is holding on (Pinion isn't yet registered in Indiana)

Potato trial in Idaho, AEA vs control.

➡️ 350 units of N on the control
➡️ 191 units of N on AEA

The AEA treatment was just 2 foliar feeds, ~ $20-30 each.

Yields look comparable between the 2 treatments.
✅ The big difference is skin set: it's much better in the AEA Treatment (in the control, notice the skin stripping and potato that's split because it was force-fed too much N ).
✅ Skin set is a proxy for bruise resistance, which effects storability and packout %, which of course has a big impact on bottom line.

Harvest starts in a couple of weeks. This a robust trial measuring both yield and bruise metrics. We'll have some good data soon.
