#wyrdwednesday In Hildegard’s Ordo Virtutum, a play she wrote and composed in 1151, the Soul interacts with the Virtues in beautifully sung music while Satan is unable to sing. Hildegard saw music as the language of Heaven, which meant that Satan was not permitted to sing.
