MGMT: What have you done this year to deserve a raise? ME: My job.

CD: We want a pinball machine for the creative room. MGMT: Is that supposed to help with ideas? CD: I've gotten ideas from weirder things.

AE: This body copy is redundant. WRITER: Your job is redundant.

AE: Why are you giving me two identical ads for different jobs? ME: Next time fill out two briefs instead of using cut and paste.

AE: You put down 10 hrs for the print ad concepts? AD: That's what happens when you want 5 "concepts" fully produced.

AD: What's that? ME: A list of account management tips. Since the AEs have been telling me how to do my job, I'm returning the favor.

ART DIRECTOR: I think they're going to fire me. ME: Consider it a promotion.

ART DIRECTOR: Ever notice that there's an inverse relationship between awards won and level of client involvement?

ME: Why am I having to spend more time selling a good idea to the AE than the client?

ME: What's going on here? I'm suddenly being allowed to do good work. TRAFFIC MGR: Don't worry, I have a project that will end that.

AE: They want the phone number twice. ME: A phone number in a radio spot is as useful as a hyperlink on a print ad.

ME: Does anyone around here understand ANYTHING about advertising??! ART DIRECTOR: Is that what we do here?

AE: Why are we mocking the ad within the ad? ME: Because people hate ads. AE: They'll like this one. ME: Not anymore they won't.

AE: Good ideas can come from any part of the office. ME: We don't settle for "good" ideas.

TRAFFIC MGR: Are you well-rested from your day off? ME: Yep. TM: Good. Now here's a list of work that will negate all of that.

MEDIA: Why do you keep staring at your notebook? ME: From time to time ideas show up on it.

INTERACTIVE: Do we really need 45 people to decide how to implement streamers? ME: Pick blue ones. There, I just saved you 2 hours.

CLIENT: How do we appeal to "ethnics" without being offensive? ME: You can start by not using the word "ethnics".

WRITER: Who writes all these crappy radio ads I keep hearing? ART DIRECTOR: Who still listens to the radio?
