But the contradiction between you trying to apply the spirit of the rule and then applying that the rule was “technically” applied correctly seem at odds. @RealKingLeonard @FrankRossi @DePauwTigersFB My question about “1 beat” was in earrnest. Because my understanding of the rule is that referees use the heuristic of 1 beat to prevent rolling starts and simultaneous snaps. This was clearly neither of those.
