@sillysunshinee take a class in person if you have access to that! community colleges and rec centers have tons
it's nice to be able to ask a real person questions in real time and have them demonstrate/explain exactly what you're asking about
also, draw EVERY day!
@gracies8814 real! currently in the 160s and feeling way too good about it because I've been 250lbs and that was hell for me (I'm short) still have a long way to go but for the sake of basic mobility and my quality of life improving in that way I'm having a great time lol
@mwoods357 yes this is the one I'm talking about!! I highkey hate it lmao maybe I just have a bias for slow-burn romance because it still feels too forced and one-sided to me π PLUS poor Jin just gets tossed away π thanks for finding it!
honestly, in canon we only ever see Zuko in romantic situations that he was (regardless of the intention) pressured into and as a result he's uncomfy & performing what he thinks romance is and ends up literally running away in both 'relationships' qu-
Thinking about the beef Smellerbee and Longshot would have with Zuko after finding out that he WAS a firebender all along and that what happened to Jet was literally him and Iroh's fault π I need to go to bed
The funniest thing about AO3 discourse is how the people who hate it so much literally have other options. AO3 is objectively not the only fanfiction website on the internet, and yet they refuse to use literally any alternatives.
I'm realizing going to have to do a maiko rewrite fic for my own sanity lmao I'm sorry to my readers still waiting on updates for my kataangko/zutaraang fic πππ
@mwoods357 I agree, I hope they keep going with Mai!
a big thing that bothered me about their relationship is the huge gap with no contact after his banishment, and then the next time we see them together they're kissing on the ship home
they deserved better π
@mwoods357 don't get me wrong I love Mai! I think their relationship is poorly written on-screen and in the comics. specifically the comic where azula and ty Lee pressure Mai into convincing zuko to return with them after ba sing se , I hate how little choice they have
@mwoods357 OR they should have taken the time to develop a real friendship they both have big azula trauma to deal with too and would definitely naturally come together later but it would take time that the show wasn't able to offer π«£ k im done lol sorry for ranting!!
@mwoods357 felt so bad for her especially during the boiling rock
we don't even see him grapple with the feelings of leaving her behind again or mention her to anyone and then bam they're back together in the finale π he should have been single -
all this yapping just to drive home my point that shipping is fun and all but NONE of those CHILDREN should have been in relationships at the end of the war? not one ship besides maybe sukka makes sense until a year or so post-war..way too much going on π

up his family's mess?? literally had no chance
Anyway of course he latches on to Mai, she's familiar and kind to him.
I don't think he had enough time during everything to develop real feelings for her and I feel like both Zuko AND Mai deserved better
that he's the firelord now because he literally only got the time in "zuko alone" and after the invasion to self-discover and form his own identity
abused in childhood, teen years lost to war and trauma and then he still has to sit on thr throne and clean
