This suicide note of JEE student from Kota is not anything new, last year as per NCRB 13,000 students died due to suicide and every year 25-30 students suicides are from KOTA.

Being NEET/JEE mentor from past 11 years, what i have seen is

* Parents hardly listen to feedback about their children’s performance once i called parents of a student and told them that he is not fit for NEET let us give him a chance to do what he wants instead of listening they targeted me for making him change his mind and not properly guiding him this “no turn back” approach of parents is a largest contributing factor

*A comparison with other kids by parents it kills self-confidence of child i have seen it by myself and counselled parents about same.

* Forced Career Choices, Marks based Education System, Students not speaking up, top notch competition,The obsession of Sarkari Naukri ,distractions leading to lesser efficiency being others.
