Yes, MRI existed in 2013 and 2015, but federations largely ran their own tests then. From 2016, CAF sent independent doctors, and our failure rates exploded: 26 of our 60 failed in 2016, 40 of 60 in 2020, each time wiping out most of the first team. You can't tell me this shift didn't affect the stuffs we are facing now.
I agree on the preparation and the tough WAFU B group matter. But the drop in results lines up with the stricter testing, and that's hard to just ignore.

I really think the reason we succeeded in these under-age tournaments in the past was that we fielded overage players. We are struggling now because we are fielding age-appropriate players, but it is a step in the right direction towards building our grassroots football. At some point, we will find a way.

While it sounds good on paper, in reality it doesn't work. People don't like being governed by powers or figures they don't identify with. If you look around the world, most ethnically diverse countries like ours either break up at some point or decentralise their government.
