The Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, Hon. Mithika Linturi, hosted a Farmer's Field Day at Embu University in Embu County today.
This field day, organized by the Agriculture and Food Authority in collaboration with the Embu County Government, aimed to provide farmers with the skills and expertise needed to enhance their production and productivity.
During the event, the Authority distributed 1,500 cashew seedlings, 3,000 avocado seedlings, 1,500 macadamia seedlings, 2,000 muguka seedlings, and 400 bixa seedlings (a pilot sample) to farmers in the county for the upcoming planting season.

This morning I paid a courtesy call to Trans Nzoia County Governor - H.E. George Natembeya, to discuss collaboration in promoting the production of edible oils through the provision of sunflower seeds to farmers ahead of the anticipated rains.
