Will the Muslims who condemned the killing of the Hindu tailor also condemn the attack on Salman Rushdie? @SalmanRushdie

Mr Jinnah only exploited AMU. The problem is that the so-called intellectuals of AMU are not capable of entering into a discourse and debate with a perspective. They have no courage to take a stand on the number of issues which are central to the existence of the AMU.
It will never have any relationship with Pakistan, and in actual fact has none at all even on the matters of academic coordination. To all intents and purposes, Pakistan is just the name of a foreign country for the AMU now.
I do not think that Aligarh is unaware of the irrefutable historical facts and of the reality of its existence as an autonomous Central university with maximum funding from the Government of India. It will never have any relationship with Pakistan.
The highly respected AMU professor, Masood Hussain Khan, narrates many of them in his autobiography Warood-e Massod, published circa 1989. It is a Khuda Buksh Oriental Public Library publication.
The more the AMU supports Jinnah, the more unpleasanty the situation will become. It is likely that authentic facts will come to the fore in regard to the relationship between the Muslim League and the AMU—which started taking shape from the very beginning.
It is is also true that Mr Jinnah willed a substantial part of his wealth and priceless possessions to the AMU. Why did the AMU not try to claim its share? The more the AMU supports Jinnah, the more unpleasanty the situation will become.
It is highly unlikely that those academic institutions which were established or patronised by Hitler, still hang his pictures in their halls. Whether Jinnah was a donor or not when MAO College needed money to become a university in 1920 is a matter for research.
