So I had a baby @ 23 wks. I had to sign out AMA from a hospital who would not prioritize my life over my pregnancy. Pro-choice laws meant I was able to go to a place where I could choose to deliver my child, pre-viability. Anti-abortion stances would have killed both her and me.

This was not an abortion, but an early delivery to save a mother’s life - which the pro life movement acknowledges as necessary in rare cases. This child was born whole and held and loved as she passed away. She was not murdered and dismembered in the womb. That’s the difference.

Can confirm. It took 2.5 wks for Char’s eyes.

Also took her several weeks for her esophagus to grow together— it was 2 blunt ends growing together slowly.

I’d say that’s what birth at 24 wks is, but it’s so much more.

But no one wants that conversation. It’s too nuanced.
