Gabriel Martinelli’s may have found an exit route, the Saudi escape.

The 25-year-old has been omitted from our last two matchday squads, against Manchester City in the Community Shield and Coventry City in the Premier League.

That comes amid reported interest from Al-Hilal, with Arsenal said to value him at around £60m per @David_Ornstein.

Martinelli has made a total of 191 Premier League appearances for Arsenal, scoring 41 goals and providing 24 assists. He has also scored 10 goals in 33 Champions League appearances.

After seven years at the club, we may now be ready to move on from one of our longest-serving forwards.

His pace will be admired in the Saudi League.

I've seen a lot of Arsenal fans divided over the treatment of Gabriel Martinelli. Especially from fans who were clamouring for an upgrade on the Left-Wing.

Whatever feelings you have, you have to ask yourself, what does Martinelli offers Arsenal? Trossard overplayed last season cos Martinelli had switched of since 2023.

His best season for us was in 2022/2023 season where he scored 15 Premier League goals. Since then he has being fighting for a place in the squad. Last season, he managed just one league goal and four assists in 30 appearances, with only 11 starts.

Competition has made things even harder. We now have more options in wide and attacking areas, while the club have also looked at further upgrades. Martinelli is no longer a starter in the team, and being left out of the squad for the Community Shield and Premier League opener shows just how far his position has changed.
