Widespread thunderstorms will affect the area beginning Wednesday afternoon and spread southward Wednesday night into Thursday.
🍃Damaging winds and a few tornadoes could down trees & powerlines leading to some power outages or cause damage to structures.🌪️
The slow-moving nature of this system + the quick movement of storms over the same areas will likely lead to flooding concerns.
Despite ongoing drought, heavy rainfall amounts will lead to rapid runoff & increase the flash flooding risk. Travel may become hazardous! #gawx
The best time to prepare for hurricanes is BEFORE hurricane season begins. Avoid having to rush through potentially life-saving preparations by waiting until it’s too late. #HurricanePrep#HurricaneStrong
