@YankeeGunner @scottjwillis @PoznaninMypant_ I agree we sorted 2 of the 3 needs I would weigh them in importance as:

LW/FWD upgrade - 50%
CM - 30%
CB/RB cover - 20%

So I'm only going to 5/10

@YankeeGunner 100% agree it's difficult to buy a superstar attacker, but my major grievance is in the absence of that we've not even tried to roll the dice on a young potential forward

@TheArsenalFan2w Arteta doesn't sign the players. He doesn't set the valuations or negotiate with the other team. We've clearly tried to sign forwards and not got it over the line

@Blahovic @TimMusings While I agree we definitely should have just taken some more gambles, not sure it's Arteta's doing. It was reported Arteta wanted Sesko and got convinced into Gyok by Berta. Similar with him wanting Mudryk and ending up with Tross (albeit that working out for the best)

@_PhilCosta Appreciate it's not easy to upgrade our attack and not just signing someone for the sake of it. BUT we've been desperate for some star quality in the forward area since the Bayern game in 2024 and still haven't addressed it

We can't afford to throw away a season at this point in the cycle. 1 more injury at the back and it ends up similar to Pool 20/21 when VVD was out and fell away for the season. Who knows what the landscape will look like next year.
