If Saliba, Rice or Saka set foot on the pitch for the most pointless game in world football I will genuinely lose my fucking mind. Bronze medal match? Fuck off.
Why was VAR allowed to intervene?
Wasn't a goal. Wasn't a penalty. Wasn't second yellow for Argentina player.
Was it a foul? No. Was it a dive? Yes. Was yellow for Argentina harsh? Yes. But doesn't that happen every game?
So why intervene this time? Is that not re-refereeing?!
It feels like we are getting no calls....again.
We easily have the worst free kick differential by miles....why?
It's so consistently against us it's wild

When we're at our best we're fast, we're fluid, we move the ball almost instinctively.
But with confidence low we slow, second guessing ourselves, fumbling the ball.
Every game is a hard slog and a tough watch.
And any hope is squashed by the next injury.
Honestly, this season can get in the bin already.
Decimated by injury from the very start and any time someone comes back another two go down.
Not won a free kick count all season. Clearly umpired differently.
And confidence is so low we're playing poorly, so hesitantly π’
Another bad day at the office for the GIANTS. Not sure I could name a single player who can hold their head high.
And the next three games?... playing third, first, and fourth. Its going to be a tough month ahead π
@alexwilliams282 Very poor non call. Couple of their goals from clear throws out of contest too.
But we were disappointing. Sloppy in our ball use. Second in the contest. They seemed to want it more.
And questions need to be asked about the Hogan selection. Clearly not fit. Harsh on Gru.
And Kingsley needs to explain the Hogan selection call.
Clearly not fit, should be made to earn his spot again through the VFL.
If Gru had been poor then perhaps you take the chance on him building his fitness at AFL level.
But Gru has been kicking 2 a game and playing ok.
GIANTS sadly their own worst enemies again.
Too many turnovers. Losing too many contests. Passing up too many opportunities going inside 50.
That game was there to be won and, like Round 1, we've gifted them then win.
We're just not at the level this year.
Emery is a very good coach, but his best results (Villa, Sevilla, Villareal) have been at clubs with a certain level of pressure and expectation.
At PSG he won only 1 out of 2 Ligue 1s and failed massively in CL.
Arsenal was a disaster; wrong place, wrong time (if being kind).
This led to the usual Emery debate, the boring narrative of Arsenal not giving him enough time, and with Pep now gone asking if he's the best in the PL?
Yet United, Liverpool, Chelsea, City, and Madrid jobs were all just available and he wasn't linked with a single one of them.
At least 10 of the players are in our best 23.
Call its excuses if you like, but it has a big impact.
One more game and then our mid-season bye.
Fingers crossed we have a healthier list for the back half of the season and early season losses haven't caused too much damage.
Heard a lot about the Lions injury list on the weekend. Have heard lots about the Dogs too. Never hear much about the GIANTS.
Its been a frustrating start to the season, but key players missing from the spine and the constant rotation around them certainly hasn't helped. HCTG.
