If you think about it for too long, you start to feel like almost nothing has really changed over the course of our civilization. People are just as brutal and ruthless now as they were in the Roman Empire and earlier than that too. People do horrible things to each other. They murder the kill, they lie, they steal. Human beings in general… you wanna look for the good people and be positive and try to contribute to something good but it’s hard. It’s like if you wanna be a good person and live a happy life you almost have to live in a bubble. The moment you start paying attention to what’s actually going on it becomes psychologically overwhelming and depressing. I also don’t think there’s any answer. I think the system is set up this way so that we experience pain and all of the emotional spectrum over the course of our lifetime.
