Great review by NRK (the Norwegian equivalent of BBC) of my new book about the origins of Covid. Translated excerpt:
In "The Mystery of Wuhan," Bratlie presents her arguments in a comprehensive form.
Here there is a wealth of detailed information about DNA and how viruses are built, all wrapped up in a kind of hybrid of crime mystery and paranoid thriller.
This adds momentum and a personal touch to the story, which probably makes it easier for many to digest the heavy molecular biology sections.
Literarily, this is functional and effective, even if it is not the linguistic acrobatics that impresses us most in this book.
It is rather the rigorous argumentation and unraveling of the "mystery".
If it really were to be the case that the research into viruses to prevent a new pandemic has created a new virus which has accidentally caused such a pandemic - then we are talking about nothing other than the biggest scandal in the history of science.
Sigrid Bratlie has in any case provided a very convincing argument that lab leak is the most credible explanation.
