6/6 For over 20 years, AfriKids has been trusted by local communities and global agencies alike to deliver impactful, locally-led change. Now, with this new look, we’re ready to reach more children and inspire others to adopt our community-driven approach. 🌟
1/6 🌍 Big news! AfriKids has launched a brand-new identity! 🎉 As we enter our third decade, this rebrand reflects our rich heritage in northern Ghana and our future plans to scale “community-powered” change. 👇🧵
5/6 David Pwalua, our Country Director in Ghana, said: "This isn’t just a change of symbols, but the birth of an exciting new chapter for AfriKids. By staying united, we can achieve more and improve the quality of life for even more children across Africa." 💙 #CommunityPower
With the Euros in full swing, and everyone shouting for their favourite teams, it's time you meet some more of our very own AfriKids' team! Whilst some are stars on the football field, their biggest achievements come from scoring wins for children’s rights across northern Ghana!
We couldn't be more excited to announce that we're teaming up again with @LouboutinWorld, @idriselba and @Sabrinadhowre for Season III of Walk a Mile in My Shoes. M'pusiah (thank you) for raising awareness and funds for children's voices in northern Ghana 💙
The theme of International Menstrual Hygiene Day 2024 is #PeriodFriendlyWorld, the perfect opportunity to hear about the importance of reducing period stigma, especially amongst men, and the interactive ways AfriKids tackled this with male community members on this day in 2023!
"There is still a certain myth, a certain secrecy, around periods and we want to demystify it. So that when you walk into a supermarket; the way you buy sugar, that's how you should buy sanitary pads; as an essential family commodity."

"I learned to read and write as a young boy. I am happy to share my knowledge with others and help the Ghanaian child." - Christopher, is a Complementary Basic Education facilitator with @AfriKids.
Like Christopher, kudos to all those helping children out of school to learn.
Celebrating International Women's Day 2024, AfriKids are proud to be playing our part in raising the next generation of empowered and confident women.

We have been busy helping schools across northern Ghana set up ‘library clubs’ - from training teachers on how to run a library, to organising inter-school reading competitions - encouraging children to read and explore their passions through access to a wide variety of stories.
