Here is the list of MPs who formed the "footnote gang" that belittled the Auditor General and his report and tried to derail the investigation into the CB bond scam.

Their footnotes attempted to dilute the report's findings and shield certain individuals from accountability. The vast majority of the footnote gang is contesting from @sjbsrilanka.

According to CID, Sujeewa S, a national list candidate of SJB, received cheques worth 3 million LKR from Aloysius’ Mendis Co. He also authored a book defending the scam.

Fifteen members of the COPE committee agreed to the report without the footnotes, while the nine members listed above agreed to the report with the footnotes.
