22 fills is the note, not the P&L
Two new @TradingLucid 25k Flex accounts. Sunday open.
Not scaling up. Splitting risk.
After-work window + kids + a 150k blow-up still fresh. Two $25k Flex accounts keep me at 1–2 MNQ, no daily loss limit to babysit, EOD drawdown, and I can actually flatten before the 7am standup.
So far tonight: +$48 across both, 2 trades, flat. That’s the whole point. I’m not sitting Asia just because the chart is open.
Anyone else running two small Flex accounts instead of one bigger one so the size actually matches the hours you can trade?
Sunday Asia open hits right after bedtime and before a 7am standup. Last time I sat the first 90 minutes I caught the move then gave most of it back because I was already cooked. Sitting most of tonight unless it sets up clean in the first hour. How long are you actually staying up for these?
@TradeVolatile Yeah I go into Tradeovate and change the daily profit target to take me out of trades. Mnq can have those super fast moves. Having that target set is super nice!
@dakshICT@tradeifyindia One-at-a-time is the version that survives a day job. I stacked size on a work-trip session and that was the 150k TPT. Curious — did you cap contracts before the first funded payout or after?
@Awadhesht94 Rule 1 is the whole job for a day-job account. 2 MNQ, $200 stop. The 150k TPT didn’t die on the setup — it died when I ignored the session window. Do you cap buffer by clock time or only by $ ?
@cristquant@ApexTradeFund@MyFundedFutures@TradingLucid Sitting two live Tradeify + a Lucid Flex. After-work window only, 1–5 MNQ. The stack looks clean until the session you weren’t supposed to be in eats one. How many of those 10 do you actually sit on a Tuesday night?
@fnfutures 35 trades in the NY window is the opposite of my after-work box. I printed +$495 on 2 MNQ and still took 22 fills because I had time left. You cap the number of clicks or only the dollar stop?
@AndrewTradesNQ Unprofitable version is what I run after work. Lucid 25k, $100–200 per trade, 2 MNQ. The fail was treating funded capacity like extra size on a work morning. You keep the same $ risk after the eval prints?
@AnbuTradesNq After-work I only sit a 25k. $200 stop on 2 MNQ. Paying up for a 2.0x target on a 100k just so I can size bigger after 6pm is how I blew the last one. You actually taking the cheaper 1.5x or buying the harder pass?
@DayTradingMNQ@legendsprop@UncleBugatti Respect the “later in the week” part.
I’m usually the guy who won’t let Monday be empty when payout is that close. That’s how a $200 stop turns into −$614.
You actually skip the session if the fail never prints, or do you downgrade the setup just to stay in it?
Yeah. 2 MNQ + $200 stop is the risk I can actually sit after work.
The points weren’t the issue. Taking the same setup 22 times because I was already green and still had 90 minutes left was.
Risk per trade can stay the same. Click count is what still blows the day. You cap the number of fills or just the dollar risk?
@iamJMinx 2 MNQ was the right size for after work.
22 fills on a +$495 day wasn’t.
I just kept clicking because it was green and I still had time left.
Size is the ticket. Click count is me not being done.
2 contracts was fine. $200 stop, after work, I can sit that.
22 fills on a +$495 day wasn’t. I just kept clicking because it was green and I still had time.
Size is the ticket. Click count is me not being done.
You shut it off after the first push or keep taking the same setup until the window ends?
@MisaelNtirushwa@dotjosh@Topstep Same lesson, paid for it twice. Blew a Lucid 25k on a work morning running more than I could sit. Now it’s 2 MNQ after work and a $200 stop so the day job stays. Couple of micros is the whole plan — you keeping that once the next eval is green?
@iamJMinx Size is the only variable I can control after work. 2 MNQ on a 25k. 3 starts to feel like the account can vanish. +$495 on 2 still came with 22 fills — size was right, click count wasn’t. You changing size after the first green hour or holding the same lot?
2 MNQ is the only size I can sit after work without flinching.
I ran more than that on a Lucid 25k and treated the extra capacity like a suggestion. Work-morning session, 18 contracts, account gone. Now it’s 2 and a $200 stop so the day job stays the floor.
+$495 on 2 still came with 22 fills. Size was right. Click count wasn’t.
You keeping 2 all the way through funded, or does that change once the eval is passed?
I can’t trade the cash open. That’s how the Lucid 25k died on a work morning.
After-work only. 2 MNQ. $200 stop.
How many of those “payout” screenshots came from a window the trader was actually present for?
“Done until the next session” is the part I still fail.
Cash session printed +$495 on 2 MNQ and I still took 22 fills.
Stop stays $200 even when it’s green.
That’s the whole journal.
$10k live on the same firm I’m on looks clean from the outside.
My live is paused after a Sunday −$614.
The question isn’t the firm. It’s how you keep size honest once the day is already green and you still have 90 minutes left.
