This afternoon at Kitalya Prison, we checked on Advocate @kiizaeron as well as the nine @NUP_Ug political prisoners who refused to plead guilty to crimes they didn't commit. Counsel Eron Kiiza told us how the military personnel at the military court punched him in the chest and other body parts, causing some injuries and pain. He appreciates all of you for standing in solidarity with him. He insists that it is the military which should apologize to him and not him apologizing to the regime as has been suggested to him!

The NUP political prisoners are of strong spirit. Their bail hearing which was initially fixed at the end of this month has now been pushed to April. Their one plea is to have their case transferred to civilian courts. For the past four years, their case at the military court is yet to take off. Instead, regime enforcers continue to tell them that the only way to get out of prison is to apologize to Gen. Museveni and plead guilty to crimes they did not commit! THE INJUSTICE!!!
