The @EpsomRacecourse Derby runner-up goes one better in the Grand Prix de Paris @paris_longchamp. Congratulations to breeders Ecurie Du Sud & Ecurie Gribomont, owner George Waud and @WilliamHaggas. 👏👏👏

Derby runner-up Maltese Cross goes one better with a thrilling win in the Grand Prix de Paris, becoming a new Group 1 winner for Sea The Stars in the process.

The colt was bred by Jean-Francois Gribomont and Ecurie du Sud out of Camelot mare Nabatea, a half-sister to German Group 1 winners Nymphea and Nutan.

Maltese Cross was a €200,000 purchase by Stauffenberg Bloodstock from the Arqana December Sale and he then sold on to Hurworth Bloodstock for 350,000gns at Tattersalls Book 1.
