Anthropic just released Fable 5 (Mythos-class, made safe for general use) while keeping Mythos 5 restricted.
They’re right to be careful.
But the real solution isn’t just making the powerful version hard to access.
It’s giving users precise, revocable control over what agents can do.

Introducing Claude Fable 5: a Mythos-class model that we’ve made safe for general use.
Its capabilities exceed those of any model we’ve ever made generally available.
Containment limits the blast radius after access is granted.
Authorization ensures the right access is granted in the first place, with ongoing governance.
You need both.
Right now the industry is heavily focused on containment. Authorization is still underdeveloped.
This is the problem I’ve been working on.
What’s missing is an authorization layer where the human makes one deliberate, scoped decision and that decision is then enforced continuously on every action, with instant revocation and full auditability.
Not approval-per-action. Not sandbox-per-tool.
One human decision. Continuous machine enforcement.
