This team is flat out dangerous.

You could feel early in the year that something was different, but now everybody else is being forced to see it too. Picked 14th in the Big Ten, and now look at them. Second in the conference. A 4 seed. The first NCAA Tournament win in program history. A trip to the Sweet 16. That is not luck. That is not some cute little story. That is a team that has punched the whole country in the mouth.

And the best part? Nebraska fans have been waiting for this. Loyal through every letdown, every almost, every season where hope got built up just to get ripped away. This fan base never left. And now that this team has given them a reason to believe, they’re turning neutral floors into home games. Oklahoma City wasn’t neutral. It was red. It was PBA South. It was loud. It was ours.

This team plays with grit, composure, and a toughness that feels straight out of Nebraska itself. No panic. No fear. Just fight.

From Mighty Mouse Sammy Hoiberg, to The Pryce Is Right, to sixth man Braden Frager, this group has dogs. Plain and simple. Even when it looked like they might be slipping late in the season, they never lost what made them dangerous.

Now they look locked in. Confident. Hungry.

I feel bad for whoever has to step in front of them now, because this doesn’t feel like a team that’s happy just being here.

This feels like a team coming for more.
