@GooseGivens954 It’s complex, playing on words is very easy here. Neither one of us have the information necessary to determine if they were “subject” to deportation or not. I suspect all the individuals being “kidnapped” are subject to deportation. Missed a hearing, got arrested, etc.

These athletes only say they are doing it for themselves every other word. It’s a disgrace, it’s not tame. If the commander in chief is working as the executive authority and being tough, but factual, he was voted on by the entire country and won. If it’s not factual, Congress can act. Athletes should not be divisive about the country they represent. You are literally saying it’s ok for athletes to speak like this about their country. I don’t mind them saying they don’t agree with everything going on. Leave it at that. Continuing on and then adding they are only there to compete for themselves. It’s wrong. I’m not sure what Trump said that got in your craw, but he says a lot of things to position himself in a better leverage position, so there is that too. I don’t understand how you equate Trump to an athlete selected to a team vs someone voted on by the entire US population. You ignored that morsel didn’t ya?

Apples and Oranges. He was elected, whether I agree or disagree is irrelevant when he was elected to a position by We The People. If we don’t like what he says, we get to vote against it. It is a privilege to represent this country as an athlete. They were not selected by We The People. That makes a difference regardless of how you want to spin whatever you are trying to imply. The Olympics historically has been a representation of peace, even amidst chaos. The Olympics used to represent a bond of honest competition with a message of unity and Country pride. The youth of today are just self absorbed and don’t get that life is about realizing it’s bigger than you. We are here fulfilling a purpose, and that purpose is much greater than any one of us. The glory belongs to God, not an individual. You push lawlessness and lie to yourself calling it compassion. We cannot take in every person in the world, there must be boundaries and laws to govern entry. America keeps the rest of the world honest. If you achieve your desire to embrace Communism, you will quickly discover I am right, and you will quickly realize it is too late. Be careful what you wish for. We are one generation from losing it all.
