Wow, thank you for almost doing the bare minimum Capcom. You only charged money for a basic universal feature since *checks notes* 2018, but wow, so incredible. There's 2 other MH games where you still charge money for character edit vouchers, but it's a start I guess. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

With the launch of Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance in 2027, all players will be able to re-edit the appearance of their hunter and Palico as many times as they like, free of charge and without the need for a Character Edit Voucher, which will be removed from the game.

From Thursday, Dec. 3 2026, Character Edit Vouchers will no longer be available for purchase. Instead, 10 Character Edit Vouchers and 10 Palico Edit Vouchers will be distributed to players for free, for you to use until the release of Ascendance.

Additionally, as a token of our appreciation to everyone who has previously paid for Character Edit Vouchers, we will distribute the Special Thank-You Pendant Set, which can be claimed in-game starting from Dec. 3 2026 by players who purchased any of the following:

With all of that said, 60 FPS is monumental for PSO, and it's probably the most accessible version ever produced. If you have _a_ device that can run it in browser and a gamepad, you can play it. No installs or fiddling with addons. So if that interests you, give it a try.

Overall my verdict is the few advantages PSO Reborn has, doesn't make it worth investing in versus a typical private server like Ephinea. Treat Reborn more as like an open beta. It's very buggy, certain mechanics don't work right, a lot of content and QOL is missing, etc.

@MudkipzJM I initially wanted to play in on keyboard but it's missing like all kinds of basic shit. Literally cannot even open the quick menu or turn to fine tune aiming.

On the other hand, it _did_ at least instantly recognize my DualSense controller when I plugged it in.
