I asked Grok how much a addict with a severe cocaine habit spends :
A “ typical” addict might spend anywhere from $8,000 to $50,000 yearly for a moderate to heavy habit, with severe addictions easily pushing past $100,000. These numbers shift based on regional pricing (cheaper in urban hubs, pricier in rural areas) and how much the addict can sustain financially before hitting rock bottom.
The man will do anything to feed his addictionS , it seems .
I've just covered Cardiff family court for the first time. I believe this tragic story is one of the first family cases ever to be reported in Wales. It's made possible by a new scheme designed to shine a light on a hidden corner of the justice system. https://t.co/rZDVoZPfI3
This is a short thread about the local Autism Partnership Board. I don't think the issues there are unique, I know many autistic people who have donated time to their local boards only to leave because their contributions were ignored. I wish there was some research on this.
And for those who would find it easier to respond to the #HumanRightsActReform consultation using an easy-read or audio version, you can email the government to ask for an extension for your response, until 19 April - suggested wording in the link below 👇
Us families want a fair investigation and accountability for the horrific bullying we’ve all faced and failings of services. We can’t keep being fobbed off with this no wrong door approach ,@DCPcampaign got it right with #secretlifeofus campaign ❤️
@PuddingsMam @Reannjenkins @DavidMc80397417@AGirlJohnny@WelshGovernment@CerebraCharity Totally agree and it is draining, time consuming and often a waste of time/energy - to have no change! To have a further fight. Honestly feel for you family x
@PuddingsMam @Reannjenkins @DavidMc80397417@AGirlJohnny@WelshGovernment@CerebraCharity Ahh sorry this is the situation and the experience for your family. Shouldn’t end up in court to have a voice heard and unfairness proved or changed. Sending you love and hugs it’s draining 💜
@AGirlJohnny @Reannjenkins @PuddingsMam @WelshGovernment@CerebraCharity I think we are heading along the social care complaints route with our boys. I found this commentary from Luke Clements and the IO very helpful. Head of Social Care in our case already compromised independence of SW in seeking to force us to accept her token payment to go away.
To mark #InternationalWomensDay, I visited an installation called “DOMESTIC” by the wonderful visual artist Wilma Woolf in Parliament.
Wilma’s installation consists of 8 plates displaying the names of women killed in the UK at the hands of male violence since 2013.
@PuddingsMam @Reannjenkins @WelshGovernment@CerebraCharity @MerthyrCBC Me too! Our head of children's safeguarding just so happens to also be complaints manager! The way my parenting and behaviour was being discussed by the senior management team and safeguarding/complaints manager was a kick in the guts, support and understanding is all we wanted..
@Mikeo56977865@Esarubbish Sadly j's mum has blocked me for some reason. Just trying to tell people the 'helpu' scheme in Wales only requires you to be on certain benefits and under a certain income. No requirement to be disabled or on water meter to have your water bill capped. Maybe useful if struggling?
@CPMumma79@Mikeo56977865 People are eligible without a water meter "If you have a meter and the amount
you use costs less than the HelpU
charge, we’ll bill you for the amount
you use. If this happens for two
consecutive bills, we’ll automatically
remove HelpU from your account."
JL: copy of your summing up [I think - cant hear]
C: it's in note format so I don't have a complete copy, obviously you can ask for a copy of the recording for today if needs be. Thank you very much for your assistance.
