Remember, she never counted the times she woke up to soothe your cries, banish the monsters under your bed, and comforted you back to sleep.
Don’t count the times she needs you now.

Remember to hold her hand as she can only take small steps now, just like she held yours when you needed to be steadied.

Don’t get frustrated when she repeats herself, she spent all her life listening to your trials and tribulations and always knew how to comfort and celebrate you.

When her memory begins to fade, remember, she knew you first and has loved you the longest.

Remember, as her world gets smaller, don’t let her feel alone. For her entire life, you have always filled her world.
Don’t abandon her now.

It’s hard watching the one who gave you life, or the one who chose you, to slowly lose theirs.
It’s even harder for them to know their earthly journey is coming to an end.

Wicklow GAA extends its deepest and most sincere condolences to our Senior Football Manager, Oisín McConville, and the extended McConville family on the sad passing of his mother, Margaret.

A central figure in her family and a lifelong, revered supporter of Crossmaglen Rangers and Armagh GAA, Margaret’s love for the game and dedication to her family were known to all who met her.

The officers, staff, players, and gaels of Coiste Chontae Chill Mhantáin hold Oisín, his family, and their wide circle of friends in our thoughts and prayers at this very difficult time.

The footage shows the remains of 112 members of the Abu Sharia family, killed in an Israeli strike on Gaza City. Recovered over the past two days, they will be buried tomorrow. Nearly 200 relatives remain beneath the rubble, or their bodies were obliterated by the explosions.

To the Mayo County Board, the management team, the players, and the extraordinary Mayo supporters worldwide, your perseverance, belief, and unwavering passion over the last 75 years have been nothing short of inspiring to the entire GAA community. To stand on the summit of Irish sport after 11 final heartbreaks is a masterclass in resilience. You have proven that no matter how long or tough the road, dedication and heart will always prevail.

We also want to pass on a sincere word of thanks. When we played the Tailteann Final in Croke Park two weeks ago just before your semi final, your supporters stepped up and joined as Wicklow’s 16th man and cheered us on every step of the way, a gesture of true GAA sportsmanship that we won't forget.

A special word to our own County Treasurer, Larry Howard, a proud Mayo man through and through. God only knows when we will actually see him back in Wicklow again, but we know he’ll be celebrating every second of it!

Enjoy bringing the Sam Maguire home to the West.
