This is one of the harder questions for the traditional idea of a perfectly good, all-powerful creator.
Predation isn’t an exception to nature, it is built into the system. Lions must kill. Parasites exploit hosts. Animals compete for food, territory, and survival. Long before humans existed, countless organisms were already being born, suffering, killing, and dying.
A believer can offer explanations, free will, the Fall, a greater divine purpose, or simply “God’s ways are beyond our understanding.”
But notice what those explanations don’t do: they don’t explain why an omnipotent creator would need to design a world where suffering is an inherent mechanism of survival in the first place.
The question isn’t whether nature is beautiful.
It’s why a supposedly perfect designer chose this particular architecture of life.

@DerAchsenZeit@fervillarb@joslyne_raquel@AGDugin All of this comes from Zoroastrianism and was incorporated into the Hebrew scriptures. Before that, there was only Sheol, a dark place where the righteous and the wicked went.
@DerAchsenZeit@fervillarb@joslyne_raquel@AGDugin "It is deterministic in Persian thinking. Not so much in Christian thinking."
I don't know what you mean: in both cases it is known that Good wins.
The Judgment, the messiah not as a political-military figure, the resurrection, the good angels and the fallen ones ...+
@DerAchsenZeit@fervillarb@joslyne_raquel@AGDugin There is a soteriological element; the Saoshyant (Salvador). The last Saoshyant It is the Saoshyant is Astvat-ereta, what will happen on Judgment Day.

@pedr13955@EthanLevins2 1.5 million dead for 19.4% of territory in 5 years of war that was supposed to take the capital and the entire country in 72 hours is not a victory dumbass.. that's called failure.
@LuigiStream@anaais1982 Los americanos lucharon junto a los soviéticos.
Una imagen ignominiosa para la historia.
