🇺🇦🤝🇩🇰 Thank you, Denmark!
Denmark has delivered more than 50,000 rounds of 20 mm ammunition to Ukraine on an expedited basis for the onboard cannons of F-16 fighter jets. Ukrainian pilots are already using them to intercept jet-powered attack drones.
“We are grateful to Denmark for its quick and effective response to our request for additional ammunition. This speed matters directly for strengthening Ukraine’s air defence and protecting people from Russian air attacks,” Minister of Defence Evgeniy Khmara said.
Aviation, and the F-16 in particular, is currently one of the most effective means of countering jet-powered Shaheds. Destroying them effectively requires sufficient stocks of ammunition.

PM Mette Frederiksen: ”Discussed latest developments with @ZelenskyyUa today. Ukraine ready for energy ceasefire, but Russia continues attacks on civilians and energy infrastructure. Important that we all continue strong support for Ukraine. And increase sanctions on Russia.”
Russian strikes killed over 80 Ukrainian civilians in two days. Moreover, it has stepped up its hybrid attacks against Europe, both EU Member States and NATO Allies.
Suspending sanctions on Russian diesel provides Moscow with more revenues to wage war.
This is not the time to ease pressure on Russia, and Europe won’t.
On Monday, EU Foreign Ministers intend to approve the biggest set of sanctions listings targeting Russia’s war machine since the start of the war.
EU Member States have agreed on the terms for releasing €6.6 billion European Peace Facility funds for Ukraine.
That’s good news for Ukraine and bad news for Russia.
€900 million are for the EU’s Military Assistance Mission for Ukraine. €1 billion will fund new joint procurement of equipment. And €4.7 billion will reimburse Member States, with some already saying they will channel their share to Ukraine.
Moscow’s hybrid attacks try to intimidate Europe into scaling back its support for Ukraine. Europe is doing the opposite.
PM Mette Frederiksen: ”Reckless action from Russia towards Danish military during a routine overflight yesterday. Russian actions are meant to intimidate and divide. They will not succeed. We will not waver.”
1/2 Denmark, EU and Greenland join forces to ensure access to secure and stable internet access in remote areas of Greenland. The project has just been launched during the President of the European Commission and the Danish PM’s visit in Nuuk.
I sincerely thank Prime Minister of Denmark Mette Frederiksen @Statsmin, Prime Minister of Luxembourg @LucFrieden, and Prime Minister of Latvia @AndrisKulbergs – our friends who stood with our people on important days for Ukraine, as we marked the 35th anniversary of the restoration of our independence.
Your presence in Kyiv, your consistent support, and your sincere solidarity mean a great deal to every one of us. We deeply value this partnership, your support, and the fact that you always stand shoulder to shoulder with Ukraine.
PM Frederiksen:
“I am deeply appalled by the terrible attack at the Christopher Street Day Parade in Berlin yesterday. A day to celebrate was brutally ended. My thoughts are with the victims and their families and friends and the German people.”
We signed a Drone Deal agreement with Denmark. This is already Ukraine’s ninth such agreement, and it is important that more and more partners are joining this format, which opens up greater opportunities for joint defense production, the exchange of expertise, and transparency in weapons exports. Together, we are building a new security architecture. I thank Denmark, and personally Mette, for this step toward strengthening our shared defense. It was with Denmark that we began joint production in Ukraine under the Danish model, and it is absolutely fair that Denmark will now have access to Ukrainian exports of weapons tested in war.
Today, we also discussed with the Prime Minister @Statsmin the strengthening of our air defense and work on European anti-ballistic defense. It is extremely important for us right now to receive Patriot missiles as quickly as possible and to jointly develop our own European capabilities to counter ballistic threats.
I thank Denmark for its continued support for our people – for its defense and financial assistance, and for all its contributions to the PURL initiative.
Strengthened our defense tech partnership with Denmark during a meeting with @JeppeBruus in Kyiv.
Key focus: implementing the Drone Deal. Ukraine is ready to share unique battlefield data and innovations in exchange for more frontline assets. This is a true win-win for modern warfare tech.
We also discussed developing a joint European anti-ballistic project and unlocking €6B from the European Peace Facility to cover our critical defense needs. Grateful to Denmark for being a agile and reliable ally!
Grateful to @JeppeBruus@Forsvarsmin for agility in redirecting resources to provide Ukraine with 15,000 long-range artillery rounds, with the first batch already delivered. Upon our request, our partners quickly shifted focus from short- to long-range solutions to better address current frontline requirements.
Long-range capabilities, alongside air defense and drones, remain our core priorities. This flexible approach optimizes international aid, allowing our forces to disrupt enemy logistics more effectively while ensuring better protection for our troops.

Acting PM Mette Frederiksen: Important discussion with @ZelenskyyUA on European security. Critical steps forward these days with adoption of €90 billion 🇪🇺 loan for 🇺🇦 and more sanctions on Russia
For every dollar Denmark spends on Ukraine, France sends 7 cents, Italy 7 cents, the US zero. Denmark has given 3.25% of GDP—the highest in the world.
On election day, Ukraine barely comes up. Not because Danes don't care—70% agree on keeping the support going.
A reporter walked Aarhus asking voters. Out of 40–50 people, one disagreed. His wife interrupted him.
If all NATO countries had matched Denmark, Ukraine would have received $2 trillion—not $350 billion.

As always, a substantive meeting with Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen of Denmark @Statsmin.
I spoke about our diplomatic efforts to achieve a reliable peace, and we discussed all current issues related to our country’s European integration.
I am grateful to Mette and Denmark for supporting the decision to allocate €90 billion to Ukraine for 2026–2027 during Denmark’s Presidency of the Council of the European Union. We expect these funds to start working for our collective security as soon as possible.
