Part of our project involves monitoring #BarnOwl breeding success on @FarmerCluster and @MDSuperCluster. This means recording brood sizes and fledging success. Chicks receive a @_BTO ring (under licence) to contribute to national datasets.

We are nearing the end of our first round of #BarnOwl #nestbox checks on @MDsupercluster. Boxes are being checked with a camera to build a picture of occupancy rates across the area, keeping disturbance to a minimum, as demonstrated by two of our breeding residents. #ornithology
