Above-normal April precipitation in Eastern Canada eased drought in southern Quebec and Nova Scotia. Western Canada saw mixed conditions, the southern Prairies and southern BC improved. Southwestern AB remains the driest region.

🌧️ March brought mixed weather across Canada: BC saw big drought relief with 2 months of above-average rain, while the eastern Prairies stayed dry. By month’s end, 35% of Canada was Abnormally Dry or in Drought, affecting 37% of ag land. #CdnAg#DroughtWatch
February CDM Report:
Most of Canada saw above-normal precipitation, but BC’s coast & interior, the Rockies’ eastern slopes, and southern Manitoba received exceptionally low precipitation.

November CDM:
Western Canada’s cooler, wetter November eased some drought, except in central AB and the AB/BC border. Central & eastern Canada’s heat and dryness pushed Severe Drought (D2) into southern Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia.

October CDM Report:
October's warmth and low rainfall worsened drought across Canada, except in BC and northern Alberta, where rain helped ease dry conditions. The southern Prairies, Ontario, Quebec, and Atlantic regions saw drought worsen.

September CDM Report:
Most of Canada saw below-normal September rainfall, except for central BC and the southwestern Prairies. Drought improved in the west but worsened in the east.
Extreme Drought reduced slightly in southern NWT, the Peace Region of BC and AB.
August brought hurricanes to Central/Atlantic, wildfires in northern Prairies, droughts in NWT & BC, and floods in ON/QC. Drought spread from northern Sask. to Labrador; D3 persisted in southern NWT, BC, and AB. Southern ON/QC remained drought-free.
