I'm hearing from folks who feel betrayed after the election. From struggling businesses to heartbreaking family separations, the reality of political regret is hitting home. Are we seeing the real consequences? #Politics#ICE#ElectionRegret#PolicyImpact
It breaks my heart that in a country as prosperous as ours, those wearing the uniform are forced to rely on food stamps just to make ends meet. There is zero excuse for any service member to need SNAP benefits. When you sign that line, you give up control over your schedule, your location, and your family’s stability.
We demand so much from our troops—missed holidays, unpredictable hours, and constant deployments—yet we don’t provide the financial security they’ve earned. Instead, we create a system that keeps families feeling trapped and indebted, while simultaneously stifling the careers of military spouses who bear the brunt of this instability. It’s time to stop talking about support and start ensuring those who defend our nation aren’t living in poverty.

Dr. Anthony Fauci on Wednesday repeatedly invoked the Fifth Amendment and declined to answer dozens of questions from senators in a Republican-led committee hearing about his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. The scientist, who helped lead the nation’s COVID-19 response, was subpoenaed to testify under oath by Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky. Fauci declined to answer more than 100 times, injecting new drama into partisan divides that have festered for years about COVID-19's origins and handling of the pandemic.
The 65-year-old man who was flipped eight feet in the air by a bison this month at Yellowstone National Park shared his story from his hospital bed. Carl Isom-McDaniel broke his femur in four places, had surgery and is now recovering at a Montana hospital.
“They move faster than you could ever imagine,” Isom-McDaniel said.
BREAKING: New Jersey Gov. Mikie Sherrill says a software glitch in the state's motor vehicle system mistakenly registered about 6,600 non-U.S. citizens to vote when they applied for driver's licenses or state ID cards.
According to Sherrill, the applicants correctly indicated they were not U.S. citizens, but the system incorrectly recorded them as citizens.
She said the error occurred under the previous administration of Gov. Phil Murphy and that some of those mistakenly registered cast ballots.

A LOT OF QUESTIONS TO BE ANSWERED AFTER THE SUDDEN PASSING OF SC (R) U.S. SENATOR LINDSEY GRAHAM.
Repost from purpleroom_politics

Sen. Lindsey Graham died at 71 on July 11, 2026, after a brief illness. Just one day prior, he made his 10th visit to Kyiv, meeting President Zelenskyy to push for Russia sanctions and military aid. After flying back to D.C., he spoke with Donald Trump before suffering a fatal cardiac arrest. The long-serving South Carolina hawk was campaigning for a fifth term. Gov. Henry McMaster will appoint a temporary replacement to fill his vacant seat.
Does your vote even matter anymore? Let’s talk about it.
It is easy to feel like our power is being stripped away, and I have definitely wrestled with that feeling. But here is the reality I keep coming back to: if we opt out of the voting process, we are essentially handing over the keys to those who might not have our best interests at heart. While protesting has its place, the most effective tool we have for meaningful, long-term change is showing up at the ballot box. If we don’t vote, we are just clearing the path for the status quo to continue winning. This is my perspective on why I refuse to give up on the process.

In an exclusive interview with CNN's Jake Tapper on Monday Jenny Racicot said that Graham Platner, the Democratic nominee for US Senate in Maine, entered her home without permission and raped her when they were in a casual dating relationship. Racicot said the incident happened five years ago while Platner was heavily intoxicated. Platner and his campaign denied the allegations, saying, "These allegations are troubling, serious, and false. Any accusation of non-consensual behavior is categorically untrue."

Officials say the cause is under investigation as the country's aging electric grid continues to struggle and fuel reserves run low.
It's the second nationwide blackout this year, with hospitals and critical services among those impacted as Cuba faces an ongoing energy crisis.
HAPPENING NOW: Two people have climbed to the top of the Empire State Building and unfurled a flag on top of its spire.
