Thank you @CancerMedicineJ for publishing our scoping review, describing factors influencing treatment decision-making in pediatric and adult cancer in LMICs 🎗️🌍 @agsils@EricaKayeMD https://t.co/qGBP1bK3jC
Forever in awe of @DrJRubenstein and grateful to collaborate on this work. Inspired by an interaction years ago that I still carry with me.

@DrRissman@kevinmd Appreciate your message and voice. I wrote a similar piece years ago and was told by leadership that “the system isn’t broken” and strongly encouraged to publish anonymously.
Self-compassion life-hack.
If you find yourself saying you feel guilty, try replacing ‘guilt’ with shame.
‘I feel guilty I’m missing work because I’m sick’ becomes ‘I am ashamed I’m sick and need coverage.’
If it doesn’t warrant shame it doesn’t warrant guilt. Release it 💕
St. Jude pediatric hematology-oncology fellow @marta_salek is one of the members of the #SAFERUkraine team. She’s on the ground in Poland helping with patient care while their next destination is determined. #StJudeGlobal#childhoodcancer
My patient’s wife just coordinated a family meeting with her 4 grown children to make sure everyone was on the same page for their elderly father’s goals of care. She validated their feelings and explored their wishes and worries. Everyone was heard.
Beautiful. #PalliativeCare
So, instead of using resources to have physicians spend an hour doing resiliency training, why not use resources to give an already incredibly resilient group of people an hour back to our day... to spend with our patients, our families, and ourselves.
The end.
Lately, I have been reminded of the African proverb, "Rain can soak a leopard's skin, but it does not wash out its spots." Nevertheless, hoping the rain will pass.
Getting ready for #NewYearsEve celebrations with our next episode!
Make a resolution now to listen when it's released, and finish out your 2021 in a festive, palliative way.
Rewatching @TedLasso this holiday season and reminded to “Be curious, not judgmental.”
So many powerful lessons we can all learn from this brilliant show. Inspired by my awesome colleagues who have synthesized these thoughts.
I loved writing this piece with @DrJRubenstein about my favorite show, @TedLasso!
The humor and wisdom during this series have made me a better person and provider. As always, "be curious, not judgmental."
