I made a #BlackFriday purchase of a battery pencil sharpener. I remember going from high school to the ordinary school mum worked in & my job with one teacher was to sharpen her pencils.
Boring? Probably.
Sense of achievement? Absolutely
I'm off to get sharpening!

When completing observations of other trainers I ask what do they want #feedback on and how do they want it delivered.
It is similar to this idea, getting clear and focussed makes it far more valuable.

Today is #StemDay so I'm sharing some activities you can do at home. Previously I've been involved in Stem days & loved them, not sure if it's the maths geek or the inner child. Energy & wind farm visits and experiment circuits making sea in a bottle etc.

A few years back a learner introduced me to a 'Ta Da' list. A list where you look back over your day & recognise what you have done rather than what you haven't.
Last week I did this when getting my end of year expenses & finances finalised & over to my accountant.

I've been a bit guilty of not taking time out so today I'm off to a lodge with a couple of amazing friends for lots of giggles. There is always self development with this gang too.

Yesterday was #GetToKnowYourCustomers day & nothing sums this up for me when learners ask if I worked in their organisation.
I look to see the outside face & the inner workings of a customer so I can bespoke my work to them.

I often share how we need to understand things from the other person's perspective before we can attempt to influence them or indeed decide whether it is right to influence.
What looks the same from a distance, can be very different close up.

I've been working in a team in a retained role & have used all colour energies to support/develop the team. Whilst #EarthGreen & #SunshineYellow are my natural preferences, it's useful to dial up my #CoolBlue & #FireyRed up as required.

Today is International #DayOfTheGirl & I am proud of volunteering with #GirlGuiding. I've been a Leader for over 12yrs & enjoy helping the girls to #WriteHerStory, show that their story can be anything they want, that they are worth it.

Last week I completed the rollout of a customer service programme so the weekend was all about resting, building my energy back up for this week. I've worked with so many Regional and Store Managers, sharing how they can be the difference in work to impact customers.
