Hany Abo Rida has reportedly discussed increasing the number of clubs in the CAF Champions League and CAF Confederation Cup with CAF president Patrice Motsepe on multiple occasions following the strong World Cup performances of African national teams.
Motsepe is said to support the idea, but the proposal must still be approved by CAF’s Executive Committee, which is expected to meet within the next 10 days.
